Yusuke Umegaki, PhD

Dr. Yusuke Umegaki is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Human Life and Environment at Nara Women's University. He is also a Certified Public Psychologist and a licensed Clinical Psychologist in Japan.

His research focuses on the cognitive and behavioral processes underlying depression, with particular emphasis on rumination and its role in the onset and maintenance of mood disorders. His work also examines adult major depressive disorder and anxiety disorders, as well as the development, evaluation, and dissemination of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) interventions. Through clinical research, he aims to advance the understanding and treatment of common mental health problems.
