Toshihide Kuroki, MD, PhD

Dr. Kuroki graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Kyushu University. After serving as an associate professor at the Graduate School of Medical Sciences at Kyushu University and as director of the Clinical Research Division at the National Hospital Organization Hizen Psychiatric Center, he became a professor of clinical psychology at the Graduate School of Human-Environment Studies at Kyushu University from 2013 to 2024. From 2018 to 2020, he was the dean of the School of Education at Kyushu University.

He specializes in clinical psychiatry and clinical psychology. He is from the Psychiatry Department at Kyushu University School of Medicine, which was led by Prof. Mitsuzo Shimoda. Prof. Shimoda had a close relationship with Prof. Masatake Morita. Dr. Kuroki served as an Executive Director of the Japanese Society of Morita Therapy until 2023. He is currently a specially appointed professor at Nakamura Gakuen University in Fukuoka, Japan.
